Lets see, how shall I start this? Well, I suppose I just did. Moving right along then.

Hey, my name is Amber but for the sake of it you can feel free to call be Andy, most people do. I’m a proud Canadian with Euro-Mutt ancestry living in Beautiful British Columbia being passed back and forth between my Mum and Dad’s like a hot potato. Apparently Mum’s hands are a little thicker and she can hold on a bit longer. I have a small army of cats and dog, one cat and a dog at Mum’s, almost five cats at Dad’s, and a rather large army of Killer Squirrels living in the green belt behind my house. Some people are under the impression I’m delusional because I tell them I am a very senior ranking officer in something called the Killer Squirrel Army, or KSA for short. You can feel free to come to your own conclusions.

In the KSA I am officially the Human Communications Supreme General, meaning I sit on the board of Supreme Generals, and acting commander of the entire North American Division. It’s a huge honor, a huge amount of work, and at times a rather huge headache. But I wouldn’t give them up for the world. Funnily enough that’s exactly what I’ll be gaining with them seeing as our ultimate goal is to secure total dictatorship over the earth. But nuts don’t go far in today’s human market so I have to make a living some other way until the time where I can spend my days lounging in a cushy armchair and watch my subjects grovel at my feet.

For the time being I’m a high school student and not needing a living as I live off my parents. I go to a wonderful family-and-teamwork oriented school which my brother fondly refers to as ‘that hippy school’, but that’s where my friends are and the teachers are nice. I see no need to complain. My friends mostly share a sometimes unhealthy obsession with manga, anime and the culture associated there with. I must admit I do attend my fair share of anime conventions but I would just as happily submerse myself in the latest issue of The Batman as I would a manga or watch reruns of Stargate or Dresden files as I would anime.

Unfortunately, while I do have my Sci-Fi geeky friends and my ‘Anime Crew’ I am lacking in friends as interested in Marvel and DC superhero comics as I am. Woe is me. I must have picked this obsession up through my brother when I was little as he is the only person who is even half as into it as I am. If only we weren’t ten years apart and were actually a little closer. That’s my goal for the year, get closer to my bro.

My brother, or more technically half brother, is one of the few normal things about my ‘family’. All in all I have 7 grandparents, 2 pseudo sisters, a pair of quarter brothers, an ex-stepsister from before I was born, her pseudo sister, their hubbies and my ex-stepstister’s little baby boy. And my half brother’s fiancé, my step mom’s 6 brothers and sisters and their significant others and children, and an ridiculously large collection of 1st, 2nd, once removed, half, step and great aunts, uncles, and cousins through my dad I was completely unaware of until last summer. This naturally didn’t exactly make me feel like the brightest spandex in the legion.

I watch a variety of cartoon and live action TV ranging from anything superhero based, space or magic centered, right through to dramas, family, and reality shows. I enjoy some quality to my shows and smart humor, not the trashy cheep laughs you get from the crap they show on late night YTV or Teletoon. A lot of my favourite movies are old, staring people like John Wayne, Elvis Presley, Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire, including my favourite movie of all time, White Christmas staring Bing Crosby, Danny Kay, Vira-Ellen and Rosemary Clooney. If you haven’t seen it, stop reading and go watch it. Now.

Why are you still here? I’m going to assume you have seen it and loved it then if your still here. Although you seriously may as well just head off at this point there isn’t much to say except that my taste in music is more or less just as mottled as my choice in movies. Honestly I probably like show tunes and fun singable songs the best, or songs with really catchy rhythms. Most of the songs I sing not even my teachers are old enough to know. Sometimes it makes me cry a little inside.

Oh, but back on topic here for a minute, I started this, or rather, revived this LJ account to be used to house my ramblings, fanfictions, story ideas and art. So if your at all interested in following along I’ll more than welcome the company. So welcome to Chaos my friends.
